Uncontrolled splatter is always a nice touch.

I like the boldness of brush work, the loose quality of the line. I'll color this later, probably with a loose water color wash, nothing digital on this piece.

I'll do the same thing to this as I did with my previous cat sketch, make it cartoony. I find my cat is the easiest thing to draw, so I'll probably be posting a lot of cat drawings in the next few weeks, to keep my "post every day" promise.

Poetic Lounging...updated

Here's a cartoony version of the sketch below. In both sketches he's laying on my girlfriend's pillow, hence the smug expression. He LOVES laying all over her stuff, anything, a boot, a shirt, a purse, a book; if she puts it down, he's instantly on top of it.

My cat, DIESEL. He likes to sleep a lot. My girlfriend refers to his many resting positions as "POETIC LOUNGING." Here's one of them.

I don't know why white chicks always come back from tropical vacations with braided hair that only lasts a week, but it sure is sexy. I haven't been drawing enough lately, this is my first sketch in weeks. I am going to make sure to do a sketch each and every day for the rest of the month, and post it.
