Thought you were going to see her naked, didn't you? Afraid not. I decided to clothe her, even though Taylor is naked. I prefer to keep something to the imagination.

My original thought was to add a loin cloth or some kind of clothing, like Charlton Heston wore. But I figured it made more sense that the apes would not clothe the humans, at least not the mute humans in the original movie. I hated the fact that the humans all talked in the remake. I cleaned up the character, but decided to keep the netting just as it was in the rough sketch. So here is a naked captured Taylor in color. You know what this means?... Nova is coming soon, and she might be naked too!

Once I get all the apes done, I will play around with their placement in the BG. I want to fill the scene with a ton of apes.

I read that another Planet of the Apes movie is in the works. A prequel this time, and it's starring James Franco. I like him as an actor, he was great in Pineapple Express. But I also liked Mark Wahlberg and thought he would be good in Planet of the Apes; after all, he was great in Boogie Nights. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I am not expecting much. The original movie will never be equaled. no matter how good the ape costumes are, no matter how much CGI they throw in there, and no matter how many comic book like action sequences they use.

GENERAL URSUS rough sketch

I took the face from my Gorilla Design and turned him into a character from Planet Of The Apes. Wait until this piece is finished, it'll be awesome! This is one of my favorite movies ever. The sequels were progressively worse, but they did have some good characters, like General Ursus. I loved the TV series too. There was different gorilla General in the TV show, General Urko, I thought he was great also. How can you not like a huge scary gorilla soldier?

This is how you introduce a character!

I figured the funniest way to introduce the main character was to introduce him 'ass first', as my girlfriend so eloquently phrased it.

Blue Whales

The rough sketch of the blue whales look totally different from the finished version above. Blue whales are very distinct looking. I could have just gone with a cartoony non-specific whale species, like in the rough drawing, it really would not make a difference. In cartoons, a whale is a whale.
