One of my favorite movies as well. Your design shows how good it could be as an animated feature. More humor than serious this time around. By the way...I HATED the Burton remake!!
I also hated the remake, the only redeeming thing in the remake was the performance by Paul Giamatti. Tim Roth was also good, he made the best of a weak script and weak dialog. I think it's totally a generational thing though. I am willing to bet that kids that saw the remake first and then see the original will not like the original movie.
